The 14th Inter NITTTR sports meet being conducted from 20th to 23rd February 2024, concluded today. The meet saw over 100 participants from the four NITTTRs at Chandigarh, Kolkata, Bhopal and Chennai compete with each other in seven disciplines. The hosts, NITTTR Chandigarh, won the overall trophy with NITTTR Bhopal being runner-up. The volleyball gold was won by the NITTTR Chandigarh team, whereas Bhopal players excelled in table tennis, 100 Mts race, carom board, whereas Kolkata bagged the auction bridge gold. Chess honours were split between Chennai and Bhopal. NITTTR Chandigarh player, Dr.MeenakshiSood, became the golden lady winning 3 gold medals each in three consecutive NITTTR Games at Kolkata, Chennai and now in Chandigarh.
The Director of NITTTR Chandigarh, Prof Bhola Ram Gurjar, lauded the efforts of players from all the teams for keeping the sports man spirit intact and congratulated the winners. He appreciated the efforts of the organizing committee led by Er. Ajay Duggal. Prof. Debi Prasad Mishra, Director NITTTR Bhopal was the guest of honour in the prize distribution ceremony.Prof. S.S Gill, Chairman media committee informed that the next edition of the games will be held in Chennai in 2025.
